WGHS HOMECOMING COURT 2024

Congratulations on being selected to represent WGHS on the 2024 Homecoming Court. 

The Homecoming Court will be required to provide some biographical information electronically, which will be used to introduce you at the Homecoming event.

The 'I' in Tribe is for Involved - Get INVOLVED in the Homecoming Spirit Days and events. 

Remember you are the face of Homecoming. This is a public event - SO REPRESENT!

Ms. Kristin Keiser (Audio / Video Technology and Film Instructor) will contact you via email to make time to film you for our Homecoming Video Presentation Special.

• Freshmen-Sophomore-Junior video is scheduled to play the week before Homecoming at advisement.
• Senior video is scheduled to play during the advisement of Homecoming week, followed directly by voting for Homecoming King and Queen.
• Filming will take place either during 2nd Block (Ms. Keiser's planning), 4th block, and after school.
• Negotiate this directly with Ms. Kristin Keiser. (kristin.keiser@walton.k12.ga.us)

When required to appear together (Video, Pep-Rally and Practice), the Homecoming Court will be paired in the following order of presentation: 

9th Grade

 All Homecoming Court members will be required to attend the ONLY scheduled practice on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25th. Watch your email for information.

1. The Male Homecoming Court and Homecoming King will be announced before the football game  @7PM. Female court members will not be presented at this time.
2. Male Homecoming Court candidates should select one female parent/guardian or female family member to escort them. No boyfriends/girlfriends will be allowed as escorts at this event.
3. Nominees and their escorts are to meet at the V.I.P. tent located near the football field @ 6:30PM. A selection of food and beverages will be available for you. 
4. Nominees or escorts not present by 6:45PM risk forfeiting their place in the presentation. **Make sure you and your escort are present and on time**
5. All Homecoming Court members and their escorts are provided free entry to the Homecoming game. Your names will be on the ‘FREE LIST’ at the gate.
6. The Homecoming Court electronically submitted biography will be used to introduce students at this event. 
7. We will start the presentation at 7PM.

1. The Homecoming game begins at the Walnut Grove High School Stadium @ 7:30PM 
2. The Female Homecoming Court and Homecoming Queen will be announced at the football game – half-time. Male court members will not be presented at this time, but the Homecoming King will be invited to escort last year’s Homecoming Queen onto the field. 
3. Female Homecoming Court candidates should select one male parent/guardian or male family member to escort them. No boyfriends/girlfriends will be allowed as escorts at this event.
4. Nominees and their escorts are to meet at the V.I.P. tent located near the football field at the beginning of the 2nd quarter of the football game. A selection of food and beverages will be available for you.  
5. Nominees or escorts not present at the beginning of the second quarter risk forfeiting their place in the presentation. **Make sure you and your escort are present and on time** 
6. All Homecoming Court members and their escorts are provided free entry to the Homecoming game. Your names will be on the ‘FREE LIST’ at the gate. 
7. The Homecoming Court electronically submitted biography will be used to introduce students at this event. 
8. We will start the presentation as soon as halftime begins. 

1.  All Homecoming Court members can bring any date of their choice to the dance. 
2. Both you and your date are provided FREE ENTRY to the Homecoming Dance. This includes complimentary pizza and beverage packages for you both.
3. Your names will be on the ‘FREE LIST’ at the door.
